Rose Wesche, Ph.D.Dr. Wesche is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Science at Virginia Tech. Her educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Oberlin College, an MS and PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Wesche studies relationships and health, balancing normative and risk-based approaches to understand the benefits and costs of diverse interpersonal relationships.

Lauren Pittman
Lauren Pittman is a PhD student currently in her first year. Her program area is Marriage and Family Therapy, which offers her clinical knowledge working with adolescents. Lauren is interested in research surrounding bisexual women and the messages they receive about their identity, along with the concept of internalized stigma within this population. Outside of her academic roles, she enjoys crocheting and baking.

Madelyn Toman
Madelyn Toman is a PhD student and is currently in her third year. Her research interests surround romantic and sexual relationships, with a focus on disabled and inter-abled relationships, as well as sexual experiences of individuals with disabilities. When she is not in the office, she enjoys cooking and putting together jigsaw puzzles!
